What this website does not do

It has no user accounts, no online payment and no online ordering.
It does not use advertising tools. Google Analytics runs, and sets its cookies, only if you allow it (see “Website analytics”). The only other cookie is the AI product assistant’s essential session cookie, set only if you choose to use the assistant (see “AI product assistant”).
It stores one item in your browser’s local storage: your answer to the analytics question, so that it is not asked on every page. Nothing else is stored in local or session storage.
It does not embed maps, social media widgets or third-party video players. Videos are served from this website. The AI product assistant is part of this website.

Information you choose to send us

The enquiry form and the custom resin specification form do not send information to our website server. When you press a send button, your browser opens WhatsApp or your own email program with a message that you can read, change and then decide whether to send. Only what you send reaches us.

Depending on what you fill in, a message can include your name, company, city, phone number, email address, the product and quantity you need, how you will use it, requested properties and notes. The “Print / save” option creates a document on your own device only.

When you phone, message or email us directly, we receive your number or address and what you tell us.

Please do not send sensitive personal information, such as health details, identity documents or bank details. It is not needed for a product enquiry.

AI product assistant

This website offers a text-only AI product assistant. It answers from the product information published on this website and the supplier’s data sheets. It is an AI system, not a person, and it can make mistakes, so check important values in the data sheet. It cannot confirm price, stock or delivery; our team does that.

Opening the assistant sends and stores nothing. A conversation starts only after you press “Agree and continue” and send a message.
What is stored: your messages, the assistant’s replies, the page you asked from, the language and the time. It is stored for Samrat FRP Traders in a Cloudflare D1 database.
If you ask us to contact you, the details you give (name, company, phone, email, city, product, quantity and use) are saved as an enquiry and emailed to our team through Web3Forms.
Your IP address is not stored. A one-way, salted hash of it is kept only to limit abuse.
The assistant sets one essential cookie, sft_ai_session, only after you agree. It holds a signed conversation reference, page scripts cannot read it, and it expires after 7 days without use. The assistant uses no other cookie and no browser storage.
To write a reply, your message, the recent conversation and the relevant published product information are sent to Anthropic, which provides the AI model. Simple look-ups, such as a published value or a data sheet link, are answered without it.
Conversations are kept for 90 days after the last message and enquiries for 365 days, then deleted. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Samrat FRP Traders staff may read conversations and enquiries to answer them, to follow up on your request and to check and improve the assistant’s answers.
To see or delete a conversation or enquiry, contact us using the details under “Contact”, with the approximate date and time you used the assistant.
Please do not share bank, card, identity or other sensitive details in the chat.

Information processed when pages load

Hosting: the website is hosted by Vercel. As with any website, its servers process technical request information such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, in order to deliver pages and keep the service secure. We do not use this information to identify visitors.
Fonts: the typefaces are served from this website itself, so loading them sends nothing to a font service.

Website analytics

If you choose “Allow analytics” in the notice shown on your first visit, the website uses Google Analytics 4, a Google service, to measure how the website is used. If you choose “Decline”, or do not answer, Google Analytics is not loaded and nothing is sent to it.

What is measured: the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type, and the approximate area (city or country) that Google works out from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.
Actions we count: sending an enquiry or custom resin request to WhatsApp or email; pressing a WhatsApp, telephone, email, quotation or contact button; viewing the product catalogue page; and opening or downloading the catalogue or a TDS or SDS. For documents, the file name is sent.
What is never sent: your name, company, phone number, email address, messages or anything else you type into a form.
Cookies: Google Analytics sets two cookies on this website, _ga and _ga_QTBWNW05WE. They hold a random identifier and last up to two years unless you withdraw.
Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off in our set-up.
Google Analytics keeps this information for no more than 14 months.
To change your mind, use “Analytics settings” at the foot of any page. If you withdraw, Google Analytics stops on this website and its cookies are removed.

How we use information

We use the information you send to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, arrange supply, follow up on an order you place with us, deal with a complaint, and keep the business records we need to keep. We use it only for the purpose for which you gave it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not send you marketing messages unless you have asked to receive them.

When information is shared

With our supplier, Samrat Poly Resins, India, where we need to confirm technical or product information for your enquiry. We share the product requirement for that purpose and ask for your consent before sharing your name or contact details.
With the services that carry the communication you choose: WhatsApp, email providers (our email is provided by Google Gmail) and our website host.
With Google, through Google Analytics, only if you allow analytics (see “Website analytics”).
Where the law requires it, or an authorised official requests it under the law.

Services based outside Nepal

WhatsApp, Gmail, Google Analytics (only if you allow it), Vercel, Cloudflare, Anthropic and Web3Forms are operated by companies based outside Nepal and may process information on servers in other countries, under their own terms and privacy policies.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry messages and related business records only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry or order and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete messages we no longer need.

Security

We take reasonable care to protect the information we hold. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete information we do not need to keep. Contact us using the details on this page. Deleting a conversation from your own WhatsApp or email account does not delete our copy, so please ask us as well.

Nepal’s Privacy Act, 2075 (2018) protects personal information such as your address, telephone number and email address, and requires consent for its collection and use. This policy does not limit any right you have under the laws of Nepal.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and adult buyers of industrial materials.

If we change how information is handled, we will update this page and its effective date.
