The first decision is casting or coating
Clear epoxy products are often grouped together in a broad enquiry, but the requirement may be either a contained cast or a visible surface coat. Samrat FRP Traders publishes separate product routes for those roles: Epoxy Clear Casting Resin for clear, contained decorative casting and Epoxy Art Resin for self-levelling horizontal surface coating.
Describe the part before choosing a product name. A cast feature, mould or contained void creates a different product-role question from a level surface finish on a table top, floor-art panel or other horizontal substrate.
Compare the published role, not a generic epoxy label
The product names should not be treated as proof that the systems are interchangeable. Use the current TDS for the selected product and keep its product-specific technical information with the actual project requirement.
If an enquiry includes both a clear cast and a visible final surface, identify each requirement separately. This gives the supplier a clearer basis to discuss the applicable published product route without assuming a one-product answer.
What to include in a decision-support enquiry
State the finished part or surface, whether the requirement is contained casting or a self-levelling coat, required appearance, dimensions or casting context, expected quantity and delivery location. Attach any drawing or customer specification where available.
This guide does not provide operating, mixing, curing or application instructions. Follow the current product documentation and approved technical guidance for the material ultimately selected.

Frequently asked questions
How is casting resin different from coating resin?
The site separates the roles: Epoxy Clear Casting Resin is published for clear, contained casting, while Epoxy Art Resin is published for self-levelling horizontal surface coating. Select by the finished product role rather than by the word clear.
Can a buyer select by gloss alone?
No. A visible finish is one input, but the part geometry and whether the product is a contained cast or a surface coat are the more useful starting checks. Review the current product data for the selected route.
