Use the published application list as a starting point
The current DMC/SMC Resin TDS lists DMC and SMC moulding compounds, electrical housings, manhole covers, automotive panels, transportation components, water tanks and sanitaryware. These categories explain the product's published industrial context.
They are not a blanket assurance for every product within those categories. The finished component, compound system, purchase specification and any project requirement still need review before a grade is selected.
Electrical and industrial component context
Electrical housings and manhole covers are listed by the current TDS. The page therefore uses those component categories, but does not add dielectric strength, tracking resistance, electrical certification or other unlisted electrical performance claims.
For an electrical component, provide the actual component identity and any stated material or finished-part requirement. A generic electrical description alone does not establish a test result for a liquid resin or a completed moulding.
Automotive, transport, water and sanitary contexts
The current TDS also lists automotive panels, transportation components, water tanks and sanitaryware. This is the extent of the published application positioning used here.
No automotive Class-A surface, OEM approval, mechanical rating, weathering claim or component-specific performance result is published. If such a requirement matters, include it in the enquiry rather than inferring it from the listed application category.
Keep resin and reinforcement roles separate
DMC/SMC Resin is the liquid resin or matrix-side product route. Where a composite system includes reinforcement, Glass Fiber remains a separate material decision. The current DMC/SMC documentation does not prescribe CSM 300, CSM 450, another reinforcement form or a laminate design.
Review the current product TDS and the finished-system requirement together. This page deliberately avoids compound formulation and production instructions.
Frequently asked questions
Which DMC/SMC applications are actually published?
The current TDS lists DMC and SMC moulding compounds, electrical housings, manhole covers, automotive panels and transportation components, water tanks and sanitaryware.
Does a listed application prove a finished-part rating or approval?
No. The repository does not publish a finished-part test result, approval or performance rating for those applications. Confirm the actual component and requirement separately.
