Start with the resin-system requirement
Fiberglass Epoxy Resin is published as an epoxy-system route. Lamination Resin, Unsaturated Polyester Resin and GP Clear Resin are separate polyester routes. The first selection question is therefore which product family and documented role the requirement actually names.
The comparison does not turn a shared use of glass reinforcement or the word lamination into evidence that all products are equivalent. Each route has its own current product document.
Fiberglass Epoxy and Lamination Resin have different documented routes
The Fiberglass Epoxy TDS lists fabric reinforcement, hand lay-up and lamination. The separate Lamination Resin documentation has its own polyester resin family and published door, plywood and FRP lamination contexts.
Where a buyer says only 'lamination', the component, specified resin system and current TDS should decide the next step. This site does not claim an automatic strength, adhesion, shrinkage, processability, life or cost advantage for either route.
UPR and GP are broader polyester selection paths
UPR is the broad Unsaturated Polyester Resin family route. GP Clear Resin is the site's published general-purpose FRP polyester route. These can be relevant where the component calls for their own documented polyester role.
They do not become an epoxy-system substitute merely because the end product includes fiberglass. Avoid combining data, hardener terminology, cure information or performance expectations across the product families.
Use a requirement-led comparison
A focused enquiry should state the finished fiberglass or composite component, whether an epoxy or polyester system is named, the current document reference, reinforcement form if known, relevant product role, required technical data, quantity, packaging and delivery location.
This guide intentionally does not provide catalyst amounts, hardener ratios, process adjustments, cure schedules, resin-to-glass ratios or laminate design. Those are not safe general comparison content.
