The short answer
A TDS (Technical Data Sheet) states the typical properties the supplier publishes for a grade — it is the document you select a grade from and check delivered material against. An SDS (Safety Data Sheet) is the standard reference for handling, storage and emergencies, in 16 sections. One non-chemical item carries a PDS (Product Data Sheet) instead.
Every document here is issued by the manufacturer, Samrat Poly Resins, India, and served exactly as published.
Check these four things first
Each data sheet prints these at the top. They are what to write on an order or a stores record.
| What to check | Example from a published document |
|---|---|
| Issuer | Samrat Poly Resins, Doraha, Ludhiana, Punjab, India |
| Document reference | SPR-TDS-GCR (the GP Clear Resin TDS) |
| Revision and date | Rev. 01 · July 2026; catalogue-grade TDS: Rev. 01 · September 2026 |
| The exact grade name and code | “Isophthalic Cooling Tower Grade Resin — SPR 301 CT” (SPR-TDS-ICT) |
Grades in one family have similar names but different published values, so write the grade name on a purchase order exactly as it appears on the data sheet, and check the revision of the document you download.
The properties table
The TDS here come in two layouts. The earlier one-page sheets have a single “Typical technical properties” table. The September 2026 catalogue-grade sheets split it into identity and supply, typical liquid-resin properties, the cure system and grade selection.
| Line | Published example | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Viscosity | GP Clear Resin: 350–450 cPs. SPR 301 CT: 400–650 cPs at 60 rpm and 1,500–2,000 cPs at 6–12 rpm | A thixotropic grade gives two viscosities measured at different speeds. Viscosities measured at different spindle speeds or shear conditions are not directly comparable. |
| Gel time | GP Clear Resin: under 8 minutes. SPR 301 CT: 15–35 minutes at 25 °C | A value under the stated reference condition and cure system; confirm it with a trial at your workshop temperature and dosage. |
| Cure system | MEKP 1.5% + Cobalt Octoate 0.4% — added separately during use | The reference cure the values were measured with; on a non-accelerated grade the accelerator and the initiator are added separately. |
| Styrene, specific gravity and others | GP Clear Resin: styrene 33–40%. SPR 301 CT: styrene 37–45% by weight, specific gravity 1.10–1.15 | Each TDS lists the properties chosen for its grade; the GP Clear Resin sheet states plainly that specific gravity, thixotropy and flash point are not part of its standard set. |
| The typical-values note | “Values shown are typical and are not to be interpreted as guaranteed specifications” | The values describe the grade; batches can vary within normal manufacturing tolerances. Properties of a finished part depend on the reinforcement, process and cure, and are for the user to establish. |
Commercial lines on a TDS
Some earlier TDS print the manufacturer's pack and minimum order — the GP Clear Resin sheet, for example, lists a 225 kg drum, a 1,000 kg minimum order, a shelf life and a storage temperature. These are the manufacturer's terms, not a Nepal offer. The catalogue-grade sheets say packaging, minimum order and shelf life are confirmed at the time of enquiry. In Nepal, price, packaging, lead time and availability are confirmed by enquiry with Samrat FRP Traders — see requesting a resin quotation.
The Product Data Sheet
The Paint Brushes PDS (SPR-PDS-BRS · Rev. 01 · September 2026) covers a manufactured article rather than a chemical: the filling material, the width, how securely the filling is set into the ferrule, and how the brush stands up to the solvent it is used in. That is why it is not presented as a TDS.
Reading an SDS
The SDS here — for example the GP Clear Resin SDS (SPR-SDS-GCR · Rev. 01 · issued 5 August 2026, 10 pages) — follow the standard 16-section layout:
- Identification
- Hazard identification
- Composition / information on ingredients
- First-aid measures
- Fire-fighting measures
- Accidental release measures
- Handling and storage
- Exposure controls / personal protection
- Physical and chemical properties
- Stability and reactivity
- Toxicological information
- Ecological information
- Disposal considerations
- Transport information
- Regulatory information
- Other information
Stores work sits mainly in section 7, emergency preparation in sections 4–6, personal protection in section 8 and transport in section 14. This page does not summarise hazard information — read the full SDS and keep it with the person responsible for safety. An SDS is here only for the 23 products the supplier has issued one for; where a product has none, do not use another product's SDS in its place — ask us.

What the documents do not do
- They are not Samrat FRP Traders certifications; Samrat FRP Traders does not manufacture, reformulate or certify resins.
- They do not set commercial terms for Nepal.
- Typical values are not batch guarantees or acceptance limits, and they do not describe how a finished part will perform.
