A separate component in an epoxy system
Epoxy resin and Epoxy Hardener are distinct components. The published Epoxy Hardener is a polyamide, amine-based curing agent selected for a compatible epoxy resin system; it is not another epoxy resin sold under a different name.
The practical buyer question is therefore not simply whether a hardener is needed. It is which exact resin and hardener are documented as a compatible system for the intended application. Do not substitute one component based on a broad material name alone.
Published product identity and documentation
The current Epoxy Hardener TDS identifies a clear / transparent liquid polyamide product and publishes viscosity, specific gravity, amine value, storage, shelf life. These are product-specific reference points, not values to transfer to another supplier's hardener or resin system.
The TDS also contains operating information. This resource intentionally does not repeat mixing, cure or pot-life instructions; review the current document and the matching resin route together before procurement or use.
Keep epoxy, MEKP and UV routes separate
The published Epoxy Hardener route is for compatible two-component epoxy systems. MEKP Hardener is a separate catalyst / initiator product route for the site's published unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester and gelcoat systems.
For a quote, identify the exact epoxy resin product, intended application, quantity, required packaging, delivery location and any required technical documentation. This makes compatibility review possible without treating products from different resin families as interchangeable.
Frequently asked questions
What is Epoxy Hardener?
Samrat FRP Traders publishes Epoxy Hardener as a polyamide, amine-based curing agent for compatible epoxy resin systems. It is the separate hardener component, not the epoxy resin itself.
Is Epoxy Hardener a curing agent or a catalyst?
The current product TDS describes it as a polyamide curing agent. This guide does not use catalyst as a general substitute; the separately published MEKP product has a catalyst / initiator role for polyester-family systems.
