Glass Fiber is the reinforcement part of an FRP laminate
Glass Fiber, also written fiberglass, is a reinforcement material used in fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) manufacture. It is distinct from the resin: the mat contributes reinforcement, while the resin is selected separately to bind the reinforcement into a finished composite.

What E-Glass and Chopped Strand Mat mean
The current Glass Fiber TDS identifies the material as E-Glass Chopped Strand Mat (CSM). Chopped Strand Mat is a non-woven mat made from chopped glass strands held together with a binder; the current product data lists a 50 mm fibre length and polyester-compatible sizing.
E-Glass describes the published glass type. It should not be confused with a resin chemistry, a gelcoat, a finished FRP component or an assurance of finished-laminate performance. The finished part depends on the full approved material system and the component design.
The published CSM range
Samrat FRP Traders currently publishes two Glass Fiber mat weights: CSM 300 at 300 g/m² and CSM 450 at 450 g/m². Both are supplied as E-Glass Chopped Strand Mat; the TDS lists 1040 mm roll width, approximately 30 kg roll weight.
No other reinforcement form should be assumed from this listing. In particular, woven roving, continuous roving, carbon fibre and other glass-mat types are not presented as Samrat FRP Traders products on this page.
