Published application categories are a starting point
The current ISO Fire Retardant Resin TDS positions the grade for railway and marine applications, automotive fire-rated components, FRP panels requiring fire compliance, electrical enclosures, tunnels and construction-related FRP. These categories help identify where an isophthalic FR route may be evaluated.
They do not represent a certification, authority approval or a guarantee that every component in those categories meets a particular fire requirement.
Move from category to the actual component
An industrial buyer should identify the finished part, the exact project wording, any required documentation, the service context and the reinforcement or surface-system context where relevant. This enables a discussion about the listed grade without assuming the product name defines the final composite result.
If the project names a standard or classification, preserve the original requirement in the RFQ. The repository does not include a finished-system fire-test report for this grade.
Keep resin and reinforcement roles separate
ISO Fire Retardant Resin is the matrix or resin component in an FRP system. Glass Fiber is a separate reinforcement product. The available product information does not prescribe a universal glass mat grade, laminate design or construction for any listed application.
Frequently asked questions
Which applications are published for ISO Fire Retardant Resin?
The current TDS lists railway and marine applications, automotive fire-rated components, FRP panels requiring fire compliance, electrical enclosures, tunnels and construction-related FRP. These are published application categories, not a project-specific approval.
Does a listed application prove my finished component is compliant?
No. A finished FRP component may need its own documented or tested configuration. Share the actual component and requirement before selecting a grade.
