One resin family, different published product roles

Marble Resin and GP Resin both appear within polyester-resin discussions, but their published roles are different. The Marble Resin TDS names cultured marble and artificial stone. GP Clear Resin is the separately published route for broad general-purpose FRP work.

This is a selection distinction, not a generic performance hierarchy. Use the actual product being made to decide which document is relevant first.

Start with the finished component

For the documented cultured-marble or artificial-stone contexts, begin with Marble Resin and its current TDS. For broad general FRP, begin with GP Clear Resin and the grade-specific information for that route.

A quartz or engineered-stone surface, PET sheet, mould-facing finish, door or plywood lamination, or specified two-part epoxy casting requirement can point to another published product route. The resin name alone is not sufficient for selection.

Do not transfer grade-specific data

Marble Resin has its own supplied-resin data and a catalogue summary that differs from its detailed TDS on viscosity and gel time. GP Clear Resin has separate product data. Do not transfer values, storage statements, product applications or finished-product expectations across the grades.

No source publishes a universal superiority claim between Marble Resin and GP Resin. This comparison intentionally avoids one.

Make the RFQ product-specific

State the finished component, intended product route if known, relevant TDS or catalogue reference, required supplied appearance or technical data, quantity, packaging need, delivery location and documentation requested. That lets the discussion begin with the published role rather than a broad request for polyester resin.

Frequently asked questions

Is Marble Resin the same as GP Resin?

No interchangeability is published. Marble Resin is documented for cultured-marble and artificial-stone contexts, while GP Clear Resin is a separate general-purpose FRP route. Start with the finished component and current grade-specific TDS.

Is Marble Resin better than GP Resin?

The repository does not publish a universal strength, shrinkage, hardness, cure-speed, durability or cost ranking. The two routes should be selected by their documented product role and the actual requirement.

Can GP Resin data be used for a Marble Resin enquiry?

No. Viscosity, gel time, storage and application information belong to the grade that publishes them. Review the current Marble Resin document for a marble or artificial-stone requirement.
