Two products at two stages

SPR 301 RB is a high-strength isophthalic liquid base resin. The catalogue lists it for the manufacture of rock-bolt anchoring compounds for mining reinforcement systems, and states plainly that it is the liquid resin, not the finished mineral-filled mastic or capsule.

The finished capsule or mastic is a different product made further down the chain. A compound maker takes a base resin, adds fillers and cure components to its own formulation, packages the result and qualifies it. That is the product a mine or tunnelling contractor installs, and it is not sold on this site.

Which one you need

If you manufacture anchoring compounds, SPR 301 RB is a candidate base resin. State the gel-time grade your product needs — the catalogue lists ultra-fast grades at 15 seconds–2 minutes and delayed grades at 5–30+ minutes — and plan the cure around the reference system: BPO 7% with cobalt octoate at approximately 0.4%, added separately. A concentrated peroxide is never mixed directly with a cobalt accelerator.

If you install rock bolts, you need a finished, qualified anchoring product from a compound maker, chosen against your project’s specification. The base resin cannot be placed in a borehole on its own.

What the data does not tell you

Resin values do not describe anchoring performance. Pull-out behaviour, set time underground and the shelf life of a capsule belong to the compound maker’s formulation and testing. Samrat FRP Traders does not publish, certify or guarantee anchoring performance, and this guide makes no such claim.

Sources, roles and the Nepal enquiry path

SPR 301 RB values are the typical specification in the supplier’s 2026 product catalogue; no Technical Data Sheet for this grade has been published on this site. The description of a finished capsule is general and does not refer to any particular product.

Samrat Poly Resins, India manufactures the grade and issues its technical information. Samrat FRP Traders is the Nepal supplier and importer and handles enquiries; price, packaging, lead time and stock in Nepal are confirmed on enquiry.

Frequently asked questions

Does Samrat FRP Traders sell rock-bolt capsules?

No. It supplies SPR 301 RB, the liquid base resin that compound makers use. Finished capsules come from a compound maker.

Can SPR 301 RB go straight into a borehole?

No. It is a raw material for making anchoring compounds, not a finished mastic or capsule.

How strong is an anchor made with SPR 301 RB?

No anchoring performance is published for the resin. It depends on the finished compound and is established by the compound maker’s testing.

Which gel-time grade should a compound maker order?

The one the product needs: ultra-fast grades gel in 15 seconds–2 minutes and delayed grades in 5–30+ minutes. State it when you enquire.
