A raw material, not the product installed underground
SPR 301 RB is a high-strength isophthalic liquid base resin with, in the catalogue’s words, excellent mechanical properties. It is used to manufacture rock-bolt anchoring compounds for mining reinforcement systems. The catalogue states plainly that it is the liquid resin, not the finished mineral-filled mastic or capsule.
That distinction decides who the grade is for. It is sold to the maker of anchoring compounds, who fills, packages and qualifies the finished product. A mine or contractor needing capsules to install is looking for that finished product, not this resin.
Reading the published values
The catalogue lists a viscous liquid resin of 2,000–3,500 cPs, a specific gravity of approximately 1.12 and 35–39% styrene by weight, supplied non-accelerated. Gel time comes in grades: ultra-fast grades at 15 seconds–2 minutes and delayed grades at 5–30+ minutes, so a compound maker states which one the product needs.
The reference cure is different from the MEKP-based systems elsewhere in the range: BPO 7% with cobalt octoate at approximately 0.4%, added separately during use. A concentrated peroxide initiator is never mixed directly with a cobalt accelerator.
Limitations
Resin values do not describe the anchoring performance of a finished compound. The pull-out behaviour, set time underground and shelf life of a capsule belong to the compound maker’s formulation and testing. Samrat FRP Traders does not publish or certify anchoring performance.
Source, roles and the Nepal enquiry path
The values on this page are the typical specification printed for SPR 301 RB in the supplier’s 2026 product catalogue. Samrat Poly Resins has since published a Technical Data Sheet for this grade, linked from the product page; its figures and the catalogue’s agree, and the catalogue is the source named beside every figure here.
Samrat Poly Resins, India manufactures the grade and issues its technical information. Samrat FRP Traders is the Nepal supplier and importer and handles enquiries; price, packaging, lead time and stock in Nepal are confirmed on enquiry.

Frequently asked questions
Can I install SPR 301 RB directly in a borehole?
No. It is the liquid base resin for making anchoring compounds, not a finished capsule or mastic.
Why BPO rather than MEKP?
The catalogue’s reference cure for this grade is BPO 7% with cobalt octoate at approximately 0.4%. Follow the compound maker’s confirmed process for the finished product.
Which gel-time grade do I need?
That depends on the compound you make: the catalogue lists ultra-fast grades at 15 seconds–2 minutes and delayed grades at 5–30+ minutes.
